Who We Are

A Local Foundation for Nature and Community

Prakruti Vardhan Foundation was founded in Tharad, Banaskantha, by people who have grown up with the land, the farms and the villages of north Gujarat. We believe the wellbeing of people and nature cannot be separated: trees protect soil and water, water decides the fate of farms and animals, and healthy, educated families take better care of both. That is why our name brings together "Prakruti" (nature) and "Vardhan" (growth).

We are registered as a Section 8 non-profit company under the Companies Act, 2013, and enrolled on the NGO Darpan and e-Anudaan portals of the Government of India. We work directly in villages with local volunteers, panchayats, schools and well-wishers, and we keep every rupee accountable to the people who give it.
